Story
Cortnee Doll established Sole in June 2013. Sole is a renowned competitive dance company, recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in dance education. Our curriculum, built on a strong foundation of technique and artistry, is designed to challenge and inspire students ages five to eighteen. By combining intensive training with personal development, Sole empowers dancers to excel not only on stage but in all areas of their lives.
As we embark on our 14th season, Sole remains committed to nurturing dancers into confident, self-motivated, respectful, and passionate individuals through the art of dance.
​As a competitive company, we typically attend four to six regional competitions each season, primarily located in Montana and surrounding areas, although this is not a limitation. Our competition season runs from January to May.

Each competition serves as a stepping stone, helping them to build confidence and gain experience in the spotlight. Participating in these competitions not only sharpens their technical skills but also nurtures qualities such as resilience, perseverance, and the capacity to handle both triumphs and challenges with grace. Through these experiences, our dancers embody the spirit of sportsmanship and collaboration, essential traits that enhance their lives both on and off the stage.
Alongside competitions, the SDC organizes an annual showcase in December, allowing our dancers to perform for family and friends. This event not only celebrates our company's dedication and hard work but also allows us to present routines for the upcoming competition season.
